Neuroscience and Physiology
Neuroscience is a highly multidisciplinary field that encompasses research in basic, translational, and clinical areas. The Sackler Institute at the NYU School of Medicine embraces this diversity in the Graduate Program in Neuroscience & Physiology (GPNP), run by the NYU Neuroscience Institute. It includes faculty from many basic and clinical departments found across NYU's campuses, including faculty at the Medical Center, the Nathan Kline Institute, and the Center for Neural Science. The GPNP is currently the largest of the 13 training programs within the Sackler Institute with 47 graduate students working towards PhD and MD/PhD degrees.
